Christmas is always sweeter when it’s offset by a hit of sharpness. There has long been a tradition of telling ghost stories around the fire as the winter hits its harshest time, and there’s no reason why children shouldn’t get a scare too. This December and January, the National Theatre stages a gleefully creative version of the children’s tale of two children lost in the woods, Hansel and Gretel. It’s brought to you by the same team who were nominated for an award for their production of Beauty and The Beast.
