Four-Legged Heroes

Michael Morpurgo’s War Horse is an utter staple for Hopscotch’s older kids. And, since the release of Spielberg’s film version, it’s appeal has widened even further. This stunning exhibition at the National Army Museum explores the themes in the book, combining exclusive content from the author, plus artefacts from the stage production and film with real-life tales of animals’ roles in conflicts. It’s thought-provoking, and beautifully done; we love the life-sized barbed-wire sculpture of a horse by artist Laura Antebi. Free. More here
