Secret Somerset

One of our favourite things about living in London is that the pressure to scoot around the big-ticket tourist venues is off, and we have the luxury of time to spend in secret corners of our capital. The behind-the-scenes free tours of Somerset House (best known for its summer concerts and winter ice rink) tells historical stories of intrigue, science, and extravagance. They’re popular, so get there early. While you’re at the house, check out the awesome (and very slightly scary, so check it out first) Tim Walker photography exhibition. Four tours every Saturday.
