The Wallace Collection’s special events are something else. The museum is a tucked-away secret (although still bang in the centre of London), so there are no heaving crowds. The Collection’s team are able to conjure up endless fun from what might seem at first glance to be dry subjects. Saturday’s event is based around the Journeys East exhibition that celebrates the trading routes of the 17th century. There are crafts including making bobbin lace, delft tiles, rangoli pictures and henna hand-painting. Plus workshops in baroque music, talks, and games. For all ages, suggested donation £2. More here
