Wheels on the Bus

We don’t really have a particular reason to tell you about the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. Sure, 2013, is a big year for them; it marks 150 years of the London Underground. And there are celebrations planned. But we just love this place, full of shiny vehicles and hope, and this dead, dreary time of year is a great time for a visit; its huge rooms give you space to breathe yet stay warm and dry. Slap-bang in the centre of town, there are stacks of well-polished cars, buses, trams and trains to peek around, historic carriages to clamber in, buttons to press and simulators to drive, plus old posters to gawp at. Prices might seem on the steep side, but remember under-16s go free and adult tickets (£15) are good for re-admission for the next year! More here
