Night Skies

This Saturday, galleries and exhibitions across London will be keeping their doors open way past their usual closing time, for the annual Museums at Night celebrations. Many of the events are adults-only, but there are a few, very special happenings for which it’s well worth staying up past bedtime. The Royal Observatory has a Saturday night packed with events for 7+ kids: there are evening planetarium screenings (£6.50 adults, £4.50 children), an interactive, fun-packed science session discovering more about how life evolved, and the search for alien worlds (£5 for four people), an ask-the-astronomer show (free, don’t even think about quizzing them on your star sign), and a make-your-own-planet finder workshop (free). 4pm-8pm.
