Tot Rock

Kids music CDs can be dire. Dreary nursery rhymes, or saccharine-sweet songs, we dread them ending up as favourites and being demanded on long car journeys. So it’s a real relief to find music that appeals to kids, but is still listenable. Our all-time favourites are the kids albums made by US indie geeks They Might Be Giants, but Nick Cope (he used to be in Oxford’s The Candyskins) is fighting strongly in the UK corner. He’ll be playing songs from his three kids albums this Saturday at the Bedford Park festival in Chiswick. £3.50 Saturday 10-10.30am, 12.30-1pm. More here
