Easter Egg Hunts

Child taking part in the Easter Egg Trail event at Kedleston Hall, Derbyshire.

There are many, very different events across London where kids can search for chocolatey treats. Follow the Lindt Gold Bunny Flavour Trail at Kew Gardens  and discover how we use our senses to enjoy chocolate (until April 10, free with entry fee). The ship’s chickens have been busy laying aboard the Cutty Sark, so there will be plenty of brightly-coloured eggs to spot, and you could win a family ticket to Camp Bestival! (March 25-28, free with entry fee). Handel House‘s event sounds oh-so-elegant, the trail and Easter fun soundtracked by live baroque music (March 27, adults £10 kids £5). There’s a more rough-and-tumble event at Highgate’s Lauderdale House, with egg-rolling, decorating and an easter egg hunt (£7.50 per child).  And, once more, the National Trust has teamed up with Cadbury for a series of trails. London events take place at Fenton House (admission plus £3, March 25–28), Sutton House – look out for a clue in the 500-year-old toilet! (March 25–28  £1.50 for the trail plus entry fee), Osterley Park (March 25–28, £3 for the trail plus entry fee), and the gorgeous Morden Hall Park  (March 25–28  £4).
