Open Garden Squares Weekend

logokey
There are some places in London we’ve always wanted to explore. So many leafy spaces in the capital are fenced, and many gardens can only be glimpsed through locked gates. But put away those stepladders and periscopes, because 200 of  those gates are unlocked for Open Garden Squares Weekend, in a celebration of communal spaces. Highlights include the sharp, formal lawns of Eaton Square, which is hosting a Punch and Judy show and live music, a fete and games for kids at Culverley Green, the unexpected allotments slap-bang in the middle of Regent’s Park, seed planting at groovy Roof East, and the flamboyant Roof Gardens in Kensington (one of London’s most fantastic secrets, and home to four flamingos). Find a full list of activities in each garden here – let us know what you uncover. Adults £12, under 12s free (book in advance). Saturday 18 and Sunday 19. More here
